Less than two hours drive from both Hobart & Launceston (135km either way), and with the stunning scenery of Freycinet National Park as a backdrop, Swansea lies on the edge of Great Oyster Bay overlooking beautiful Jubilee Beach.

Extensively surveyed by French explorer Nicolas Baudin in the early 1800’s, and first settled in 1821 as a garrison in convict times, the friendly seaside village of Swansea is the oldest rural municipality in Australia.
